ELN Members had the rare opportunity to hear from Attorney General Mark Brnovich, the state's top law enforcement official, in an intimate setting at the historic O'Connor House. Attorney General Brnovich shared some of his experiences at all levels of public service and answered the audience's questions on a wide range of current policy issues.

In the spirit of the dinners Thomas Jefferson would host at Monticello with the luminaries of his day, this intimate dinner at the historic home of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor featured a group conversation about how each person's experience of "American values" has shaped them as a citizen and their belief of what it means to be an American.

ELN Members had the rare opportunity to visit with Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone and tour the 4th Avenue Jail, including the top floor maximum security unit.

Sheriff's Office representatives discussed issues of criminal justice, trust between the public and law enforcement, how officers deal with suspects with disabilities, drug-related rehabilitation programs, and more.

Newly inaugurated Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs spoke to Emerging Leaders Network members to share her path to civic engagement and leadership, and her thoughts and advice for the next generation. This event at Justice O'Connor's historic adobe home included stimulating conversation, great company, and delicious tacos in honor of the Justice’s love of Mexican food.
